Our New Reserve Program

From business owners to career professionals to homebuyers, 2020 has been a strange and tumultuous year.

Even we were not immune to the effects of the pandemic. Homes had to go on hold, lumber prices rose, and new homes' planning went on hiatus; while things have gone back to as normal as possible (homes are being built, interest rates are lower, etc.), the future is still uncertain.

That is why we are so excited to introduce some exciting news!

Lindal Homes and Fine Point Cedar Homes are offering a new Reserve Program for 2021.

So, what is the Reserve Program?

Our Reserve Program will allow you peace of mind in your home building journey, in that your Lindal home costs are locked in.

There will be no surprises or fees from left field.

How Does it Work?

A minimum down payment guarantees today's pricing for delivery until September 30th, 2021!

What's more, we are currently the only supplier of homes that is doing this!

What Does That Look Like?

The way we do it is to break the Purchase and Sales Agreement (PSA) deposit into two equal deposits spread out over the design and drafting process. You won't need to come up with the money all at once! And with the lower interest rates, there has never been a better time to build a home.

1) 1st Half of the full PSA deposit now, 2nd half PSA Deposit due at sign-off of preliminary plans.

2) This will allow price protection for up to one year after PSA. The price is good for 30-60 days after the Design Service Agreement (DSA) or regular price date.

3) The closing date is November 30th, 2020.

There is also an early bird bonus! You will receive a FREE large door upgrade if your PSA is received before October 31st!

If you are looking for a quality home and building experience with guaranteed pricing, and lifetime warranties that are not found anywhere in the industry, then you have come to the right place. Doug and Barb provide all that and red carpet service!

Check out our customer reviews and photo of the house built by Doug and Barb. This will help you envision what your dream home could look like and hear from others what it was like to build with them and work with them.

Doug and Barb would love to chat once you have secured your lot. Once that is done, they can walk and tour the site with you and help you envision what can be built on your plot!

Don't miss out on the fantastic chance to lock in the price of your home. We may not know what the future will hold, but you will always need a comfortable and cozy space for you and your family!

Choosing the Best Location for Your Dream Home

There is so much that goes into building a custom home. The easy part is choosing a company to build with! Choosing Fine Point Cedar Homes as your builder will be the easiest part of your custom dream home journey.

Before choosing a company to design your home with, you should scout and find an excellent location for your home to be built on.

Location is everything as the saying goes, location, location, location!

Here are three things to consider when searching for a location and plot for your custom dream home.

1. What kind of Home are you Building?

Is this home going to be one that you retire in? Do you want to vacation in it? Or is this going to be your forever home, the home where you start a family, and grow old in?

Depending on your answer, your location and plot of land may differ. What you look for when building a family home is vastly different than what you would want when building a vacation home.

2. Research Your Preferred Location

This and the first point can go hand-in-hand. When you think about where your home is located, do you picture a suburb with many children and families, a secluded country road, or maybe in a picturesque historic part of town? It would be best if you were thinking about the community you want to live in as much as the plot of land you'll build on.

Research whether where you want to build and live is near schools, a community center, or even close to bus routes. Does the plot have easy access to the grocery store or recreational spaces? These are essential things to consider. You don't want to build your dream home only to realize the closest grocery store is 30 minutes away.

Don't forget to take roadways and your commute to work into account!

3. Sunlight

One thing that can be overlooked when choosing a location for your custom home is its exposure to sunlight.

As Canadians, we know how important sunlight is, especially during the winter! Seeing the sun can help to cope with our cold winters!

When you start to build, don't ignore the effect that the direction a house faces can have. From utility costs to soaking up the sun in the summer, the direction your home faces is truly important!
